COMMUNITY CARE CONNECTIONS

Community Care Connections, a non-profit 501(c)3, is a ministry of United Lutheran Church in Tacoma. As a social outreach ministry, we focus on empowering families and children with educational enrichment, and addressing food security in an economically challenged community. We do this in connection with local schools, family shelters, and other local agencies.

School Backpack Project

We are gearing up for a repeat of last year’s successful backpack supply project. Our goal this year is to help supply 100 students with what they need to start a successful year of education. Local schools are delighted to work with us.

Baby care kits

These kits were distributed locally to a Tiny Home village for previously unhoused families, as well as an agency that helps low-income mothers and newborns. Some also were sent to be distributed through Lutheran Disaster Relief. They included blankets, cloth diapers, onesies, caps, sweaters, socks, and other necessities for children from new-born through toddlers.
